Peer Review Process

IHSAN: Journal of Islamic Education applies a double-blind peer review system, where both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process. Each submitted manuscript will be screened by the editorial team to ensure conformity with the journal's scope, template, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

The review process focuses on the originality, clarity, methodological rigor, contribution to the field of Islamic education, and compliance with ethical guidelines. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will decide whether the manuscript is accepted, requires revision, resubmitted for review, or rejected.

The average duration of the review process ranges from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the reviewers’ availability and the level of revision required. Authors are responsible for revising their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ and editors’ feedback within the given time frame.

The final decision on manuscript acceptance rests with the Editor-in-Chief, who considers the reviewers’ reports, editorial board input, and overall contribution of the manuscript to the development of Islamic education.

IHSAN: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam menerapkan sistem double-blind peer review, di mana identitas penulis dan reviewer dirahasiakan sepanjang proses peninjauan. Setiap naskah yang dikirimkan akan diseleksi terlebih dahulu oleh tim editorial untuk memastikan kesesuaian dengan fokus dan ruang lingkup jurnal, template penulisan, serta standar etika publikasi. Naskah yang lolos seleksi awal akan dikirimkan kepada minimal dua reviewer independen yang ahli di bidangnya.

Proses peninjauan menitikberatkan pada aspek orisinalitas, kejelasan, ketelitian metodologis, kontribusi terhadap bidang pendidikan Islam, serta kepatuhan terhadap pedoman etika. Berdasarkan rekomendasi reviewer, editor akan memutuskan apakah naskah diterima, perlu direvisi, diajukan kembali untuk review, atau ditolak.

Rata-rata waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk proses review adalah 4 hingga 8 minggu, tergantung pada ketersediaan reviewer dan tingkat revisi yang diperlukan. Penulis bertanggung jawab melakukan revisi naskah sesuai masukan dari reviewer dan editor dalam jangka waktu yang telah ditentukan.

Keputusan akhir mengenai penerimaan naskah berada di tangan Editor-in-Chief, dengan mempertimbangkan laporan reviewer, masukan dewan editor, serta kontribusi keseluruhan naskah terhadap pengembangan pendidikan Islam.
