Privacy statment
This Privacy Statement or Statement of Scientific Code of Ethics is a statement of all parties involved in the publication process of IHSAN: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam including managers, editors, peer reviewers, and authors. This statement of the code of ethics for scientific publication is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication. Scientific publication ethics uphold three ethical values in publication, namely (i) Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in managing publications; (ii) Justice, which is granting authorship rights to those entitled as authors/writers; and (iii) Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publication.
Journal Manager Duties and Responsibilities
The manager of the IHSAN: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam publication works based on the following principles and ethical standards:
1. Determine the journal name, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation application if necessary. Determine the membership of the editorial board.
2. Defines the relationship between publishers, editors, peer reviewers, and other parties in a contract.
3. Respecting confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors, and peer reviewers.
4. Implementing norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
5. Conducting journal policy reviews and communicating them to authors/writers, editorial boards, peer reviewers, and readers.
6. Membuat panduan aturan dan etika perilaku bagi editor dan mitra bestari.
7. Publish journals regularly.
8. Menjamin ketersediaan sumber dana untuk keberlanjutan penerbitan jurnal.
9. Building a network of collaboration between research institutions and related agencies.
10 Preparing permits and other legal aspects.
Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
A writer in a scientific journal is someone who pours out the results of his thoughts and/or research and development in the form of written works that have met the requirements of scientific and ethical principles. Research is aimed at obtaining new knowledge, adding to the scientific treasury beyond the limits of known knowledge, or producing scientific solutions to problems faced. The results of this process are the author's contribution as an individual in contributing to science. The Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor in the IHSAN publication: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam are as follows:
1. Meeting the needs of readers and writers, Striving to continuously improve the quality of publications,
2. Implementing processes to ensure the quality of published written works,
3. Prioritize freedom of opinion objectively,
4. Maintaining the integrity of the author's academic track record,
5. Provide corrections, clarifications and apologies when necessary,
6. Responsible for the style and format of writing scientific papers, while the content and all statements in the written work are the responsibility of the author,
7. Actively soliciting opinions from authors, readers, peer reviewers, and editorial board members to improve the quality of publications,
8. Conduct periodic internal evaluations of the quality of scientific journals
9. Support authors' initiatives on publication ethics by including a clearance form in every manuscript submission.
10. Berpikiran terbuka terhadap pendapat baru atau pandangan orang lain yang mungkin bertentangan dengan pendapat pribadi untuk kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan,
11.Menghindari keputusan yang bersifat objektif dengan tidak mempertahankan pendapat sendiri, penulis atau pihak ketiga dengan mencari jalan keluar yang secara ilmiah dapat dipertanggungjawabkan,
12. Encourage authors to improve their written work until it is worthy of publication.
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
A reviewer is someone who helps the editors to critically review the substance of scientific papers according to their field of expertise, so that reviewers play a very important role in the scientific publication process. The duties and responsibilities of reviewers in the IHSAN publication: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam are as follows:
1. Reviewing papers and submitting the results of the review to the editor, as a material for determining the suitability of a paper for publication,
2. Reviewers do not conduct scientific reviews of papers that involve themselves, either directly or indirectly,
3. Providing suggestions, input and positive recommendations for scientific paper manuscripts,
4. Maintaining the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions, and recommendations for a manuscript,
5. Encouraging authors to make improvements to their papers,
6. Reviewing papers that have been revised according to predetermined standards,
7. Written papers are reviewed on time according to the style of the publication environment based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.) that have been set.
Author Duties and Responsibilities
Author Duties and Responsibilities in the IHSAN publication: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam are as follows:
1. Ensure that those included in the list of authors have met the criteria as authors,
2. Be collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations, and details.
3. State the source of resources (including funding), both directly and indirectly.
4. Explain the limitations in the research.
5. Respond to comments made by peer reviewers and the editorial board in a professional, scientific and timely manner.
6. Inform the editor in writing if they will withdraw their writing.
7. Make a statement that the writing submitted for publication is original, and has never been published anywhere and in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
Ethical Compliance
1. Research articles reporting animal or clinical studies should, where appropriate, contain a statement that they have been subject to approval by an animal or human ethics committee.
2. All scientific studies should be conducted in accordance with relevant national and local guidelines.
3. Each author warrants that his/her research institution has fully approved the protocols for all scientific studies involving animals or humans and that all experiments of any kind were conducted in accordance with ethical principles of research after approval by an ethics committee.
