Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap secara mendalam kultur sekolah di MTs Swasta Al-Hidayah Kebon IX, Sungai Gelam, Muaro Jambi, Jambi, khususnya bagaimana nilai, norma, keyakinan, dan praktik keseharian terbentuk serta bagaimana interaksi aspek struktural dan sosial membentuk budaya sekolah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif naturalistik dengan teknik purposive sampling. Informan penelitian terdiri atas kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, kepala tata usaha, petugas perpustakaan, dan siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kultur sekolah berkembang dalam konteks pendidikan Islam yang menekankan religiusitas, kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, kebersamaan, dan saling menghargai. Kultur sekolah tampak melalui empat dimensi utama, yaitu artifak, pesan verbal, nilai dan keyakinan, serta asumsi budaya. Dimensi artifak terlihat pada tata tertib, disiplin siswa, pemanfaatan fasilitas, dan program sekolah. Dimensi pesan verbal tercermin melalui komunikasi santun, terbuka, dan edukatif antara guru dan siswa. Nilai dan keyakinan diwujudkan melalui pembiasaan kejujuran, tanggung jawab, semangat belajar, dan kegiatan keagamaan. Sementara itu, asumsi budaya menunjukkan persepsi positif warga sekolah bahwa madrasah merupakan tempat pembentukan karakter dan pengembangan ilmu. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kultur sekolah terbentuk melalui sinergi antara aspek struktural dan sosial yang menciptakan lingkungan belajar religius, tertib, dan kondusif. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi empiris bagi pengembangan kultur sekolah pada madrasah berbasis nilai Islam.
