Perspektif Islam tentang Etika Akal Imitasi (AI) di Kalangan Mahasiswa Muslim

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemaknaan etis mahasiswa Muslim terhadap penggunaan akal imitasi (Artificial Intelligence/AI) dalam konteks akademik dengan perspektif Islam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus di Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap enam mahasiswa Muslim dari berbagai fakultas yang secara aktif memanfaatkan AI dalam aktivitas pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik dengan mengaitkan temuan empiris dan kerangka normatif Islam, khususnya konsep akal sebagai amanah, kemaslahatan, amanah akademik, tafakkur, niyyah, serta nilai Islam Berkemajuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memaknai AI bukan sebagai pengganti akal manusia, melainkan sebagai wasilah yang mendukung ikhtiar intelektual selama digunakan secara bertanggung jawab dan tidak menegasikan peran berpikir kritis. AI dipersepsi membawa kemaslahatan berupa efisiensi belajar dan pengayaan pemahaman awal, namun penggunaannya dibatasi oleh nilai kejujuran, amanah, dan integritas akademik. Penelitian ini juga menemukan adanya ketegangan etika antara kemudahan teknologi dan tuntutan tanggung jawab moral, terutama terkait risiko ketergantungan yang berpotensi melemahkan daya tafakkur. Prinsip niyyah menjadi parameter utama dalam menentukan legitimasi moral penggunaan AI. Dalam kerangka Islam Berkemajuan, AI diposisikan sebagai alat rasional yang harus diarahkan untuk kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan tanpa menggeser peran sentral akal manusia.
