Peran Media Sosial Terhadap Perilaku Komunikasi Generasi Z: A Systematic Literature Review

Abstract

Transformasi teknologi digital telah merombak secara mendasar pola interaksi Generasi Z, yakni kelompok individu kelahiran 1997- 2012 yang tumbuh beriringan dengan perkembangan internet dan perangkat pintar. Kajian sistematis ini bertujuan memetakan sejauh mana keterlibatan dengan platform social media membentuk ulang perilaku komunikasi generasi tersebut. Penelusuran literatur dilaksanakan melalui basis data Scopus, Garuda, dan SINTA dengan rentang publikasi 2021-2026 mengacu pada protokol PRISMA 2020. Dari 250 artikel yang teridentifikasi, dua belas di antaranya memenuhi seluruh kriteria inklusi dan dijadikan bahan sintesis tematik. Hasil kajian mengungkap tiga temuan pokok: pertama, platform seperti TikTok, Instagram, dan YouTube telah bertransformasi menjadi ekosistem komunikasi utama yang mempercepat penyebaran informasi sekaligus memperluas jaringan sosial; kedua, penggunaan yang berlebihan memicu social media fatigue serta mengikis kapasitas komunikasi tatap muka; ketiga, faktor psikologis, pengaruh peer group, serta muatan emosional konten menjadi mediator kunci yang mewarnai dinamika komunikasi digital generasi ini. Pemahaman atas kompleksitas tersebut menjadi landasan penting bagi pendidik, orang tua, dan pembuat kebijakan dalam merancang program literasi digital yang kontekstual dan efektif.
