Abstract

Tradisi Mangkal Luagh di Desa Tanjung Negara, Bengkulu Selatan, merupakan salah satu warisan budaya takbenda yang mengandung nilai-nilai kearifan lokal seperti kebersamaan, gotong royong, rasa syukur, dan pelestarian lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam tradisi Mangkal Luagh, (2) mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk pelestarian yang dilakukan masyarakat, dan (3) menganalisis faktor pendukung dan penghambat keberlangsungan tradisi di era modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif untuk menghasilkan gambaran komprehensif mengenai upaya pelestarian tradisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat masih berupaya menjaga keberlangsungan Mangkal Luagh melalui pelaksanaan ritual adat, edukasi lintas generasi, dan dokumentasi budaya. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peran aktif pemerintah desa, tokoh adat, generasi muda, dan pemangku kebijakan dalam merumuskan strategi pelestarian berbasis komunitas agar tradisi ini tetap relevan dan berkelanjutan.
